Athletic training at Tennis Innovators Academy
Strength, speed, and conditioning built around your game, your season, and your goals.
North End Fitness & Training partners with Tennis Innovators Academy to provide strength and conditioning at TIA's New Rochelle location, 55 Quaker Ridge Road, just a couple of minutes from our main gym. While TIA focuses on developing your tennis skills, our coaches focus on the physical qualities that help you perform, compete, and stay healthy.
Tennis demands speed, endurance, strength, stability, and the ability to repeat explosive movements throughout a match. Our coaches help you develop the physical qualities you need to perform at your best, with training designed around the demands of the sport and your individual goals.
We work with athletes at every level, from juniors building a physical foundation to High Performance competitors preparing for tournament play, as well as recreational players who want to feel stronger, move better, and keep playing the game they love for years to come. Wherever you're starting, we'll help you build the physical foundation to support your goals.
Training built around the demands of your sport
Strength & Power
Functional, movement-based resistance training designed to help you develop strength and power that translate to performance on the court and resilience off it.
Speed & Agility
Footwork, reaction training, lateral movement, and first-step explosiveness designed around the demands of your competitive play.
Endurance & Conditioning
Conditioning that prepares you to maintain your performance and intensity throughout a match, not just in the opening points.
Injury Prevention & Recovery
Mobility, flexibility, and recovery-focused training designed to help you move well, manage the demands of their sport, and spend more time doing what you love.
Athletic training for every level
Our coaches work with tennis players at different ages, experience levels, and stages of development. From juniors building a physical foundation to High Performance competitors preparing for tournament play, we'll meet you where you are and help you build toward what's next.
High Performance Athletes - Our High Performance programming is built around what competitive tennis actually demands: speed, power, lateral agility, strength, and the conditioning to stay sharp deep into a match. Our coaches work closely with your tennis coach and TIA's High Performance team to keep your physical training connected to what's happening on the court. Your programming can evolve with your development, training schedule, and competitive season.
Juniors & Developing Athletes - Young athletes benefit from building strength, coordination, movement skills, and physical confidence as they grow. Our training helps athletes develop a strong physical foundation while learning how to move efficiently and train with purpose.
Recreational Athletes - We also work with recreational players who want to move better, feel stronger, recover more effectively, and keep playing the sport they love for years to come.
Training options at TIA
High Performance Fitness
Structured, coach-led training designed specifically for competitive tennis athletes. Sessions focus on developing the strength, power, speed, agility, and conditioning you need to perform at a high level.
Personal Training
1:1 training built around your goals, schedule, experience, and stage of development. Your coach gets to know you as an athlete, allowing your training to evolve as your needs and goals change. Available by appointment, Monday through Saturday.
Group Training
Coach-led group sessions that bring athletes together for structured, purposeful training. You'll get the energy and motivation of training alongside others while working toward meaningful athletic development.
Assisted Stretching
Dedicated recovery sessions designed to help you improve mobility, address areas of tightness, and support recovery between training and competition. Sessions combine assisted stretching, mobility work, and/or foam rolling based on your individual needs.
Open Gym
For athletes who want additional time to work on their conditioning and movement independently. Open gym gives you an opportunity to supplement your regular training with intentional, court-ready conditioning on your own schedule.
Training That Works Alongside Your Sport
The best athletic training doesn't exist separately from your sport. It supports what's happening on the court.
Your training needs can change throughout the year. Off-season development may look different from in-season maintenance. You may need a different approach as you grow, return from time away, or prepare for competition. Our coaches adapt your training to where you are in your development and what you're working toward.
Our goal is to build training that complements your sport, supports your development, and helps you perform at your best while building the physical foundation for a long, healthy athletic career.
A Partnership Built Around Athletes
By bringing strength and conditioning directly to TIA, you can access purposeful physical training in the same environment where you develop your tennis skills. Our coaches work alongside the broader TIA team to connect your physical development with your overall training and competitive goals, creating a more connected approach to your development as an athlete.
