Assisted stretching in New Rochelle's Wykagyl neighborhood

Hands-on stretching, mobility work, and recovery support to help you move more freely and feel your best.

At North End Fitness & Training, we believe recovery is part of training. Whether you're an athlete looking to maintain your range of motion, an active adult who feels tight and restricted, or simply looking for dedicated time to slow down and care for your body, our 30-minute assisted stretching sessions are designed to help you move and feel better.

Each session combines assisted stretching, mobility work, and/or foam rolling based on your individual needs. Your certified trainer guides you through a personalized, full-body or targeted sequence, adjusting the session based on how you're feeling and where you need the most attention.

Assisted stretching at North End Fitness & Training

A dedicated approach to flexibility and recovery

Stretching is often the first thing to get skipped when life gets busy. Assisted stretching gives you dedicated time to slow down, focus on your movement, and work on flexibility and mobility with a trained professional guiding you through each session.

Hands-on stretching that meets you where you are

Your trainer guides you through stretches and mobility techniques, helping you safely explore your range of motion and focus on areas that may feel tight or restricted. Every session can be adjusted based on your needs, activity level, and comfort.

Foam rolling and mobility work

Stretching is only one part of supporting healthy movement. Sessions may also incorporate foam rolling and other mobility techniques to address areas of muscle tension and complement your assisted stretching.

A full-body approach

We can work through areas that commonly hold tension or lose mobility, including the hips, hip flexors, quadriceps, hamstrings, calves, shoulders, chest, upper back, and thoracic spine. Your session can be tailored to the areas where you need the most attention.

Two types of stretching

Dynamic stretching uses controlled, active movement through a range of motion. It can help increase blood flow, prepare your muscles for activity, and get your body ready to move. Examples include leg swings, hip circles, arm crossovers, trunk rotations, and walking lunges with an overhead reach.

Static stretching involves holding a position for a period of time to work on flexibility and range of motion. It is often most appropriate after training, when your muscles are warm, or as part of a dedicated recovery session. Examples include seated hamstring stretches, standing quad stretches, calf stretches, butterfly stretches, and assisted hip stretches.

Where Assisted Stretching Can Help

Regular training and everyday life can leave certain areas of the body feeling tight or restricted. Prolonged sitting, repetitive movements, strength training, running, and sports can all affect how comfortably you move. During your session, we'll focus on the areas that need the most attention.

Shoulders & Upper Back
Support mobility through the shoulders, chest, and upper back, particularly for people who spend a lot of time at a desk or perform repetitive upper-body movements.

Hips & Hip Flexors
Address tightness that can develop from sitting, running, strength training, and other activities that involve repetitive hip movement.

Thoracic Spine
Work on mobility through the upper and middle back to support comfortable rotation and overhead movement.

Hamstrings & Calves
Improve flexibility and mobility in areas that can become tight through running, walking, strength training, and other forms of activity.

Groin & Hip Adductors
Focus on mobility through the inner thighs and hips to support a greater range of comfortable movement.
